Petals

Roses aren't the only flower in the garden
Red Gumamelas, white Sampaguitas and Daisies that are golden
Different flowers, different colors,
different fragrance
Some petals are bright, Some are light,
each have their own way to be vibrant
Some rest in a thorny arm
Others are safely away from harm
Some rests safely with charm
While a number just rest and try to be warm

And when the east wind touch them, they all dance with grace
and synchronized they go
But once it's over, just after the show
That's the only time when one would know
Who held on tight and still resting,
or who had no faith and just let go.

All beautiful, all elegant, all true
But don't let these things fool you
For these are just shapes and colors
And once you pick up these flowers,
you don't know which will last longer
Which will last forever
But the thing that one need to consider
Is which one were left to dry and die, which one had good water
